One little critique, the P and N keys do not work anymore when in the messages app. They used to show the previous or next message to make going through multiple messages quicker. Can this be fixed? Otherwise it's near perfect.

Nevermind on that, it's working now, I guess a battery pull fixed it.

That being said I have same bug that I can't shake and I'm not sure if it's the theme or the bbweather application. When running the theme that has the additional weather icon, i can't get the home-screen update function of BBWeather to update in the home screen icon. When I click menu it's updated on that icon in the proper position just not in the little icon on the home-screen. Any thoughts? Do you think it's the app or the theme? It does show properly in the lock screen just like other users are reporting.

Thanks!!!

Those that are having the weather icon update problem, I'm 99% sure you need to update your OS to something newer. From what I've heard this is a common problem on the 300-400 OS version ranges. (Like 5.0.0.330 for example) Try downloading a newer version and updating your BB, will probably be much happier on battery life anyway.

For those that don't have the weather icon, it's provided by an application placed in the #7 slot on your app list. So whatever is in the first slot on the second row will be displayed up top. I use BeWeather free, but pretty much any application that shows a weather icon can be used.

Absolutely. Does anyone know any themes like that? I love this theme, but without sms showing up in the messages on the homepage, i'd rather it just be calendar.

Once we get the shortcut key thing figured out I'll release a new, updated version of this theme. (Take a look back a few pages to see screenshots of it) Will allow the calendar with many lines and will also show SMS/MMS if you have the icon in the ribbon. Should add a little functionality while placing emphasis on the background while not navigating.

I've upgraded to 5.0.0.586, so I'll try again the weather icon version to see if it works now. last time it has worked for 7-8 days before freezing, so the answer might come in a week or two.

Just yesterday I had mine stop updating on me and it turned out to be something simple for me. When I went into BeWeather I noticed it said update failed in the lower right, I changed my connection settings from direct to BIS and it then started updating again.

Can you check and make sure your updates are coming through properly in the application as well? I also set the icon text to include the time so I could track when the last update was. Been working well since I moved to BIS for the connection.

Since I upgraded to 5.0.0.586 last week it still does update. (I'm waiting to see if the problem is really resolved)

But I remember last time I had the issue, this was not a connection setting issue:
- The icon was well updated in the application itself and in the lock screen.
- It was not updated only in the desktop of the theme. I noticed that if i moved the app from the 7th to the 8th position, showed the desktop, then have it back to the 7th position, the icon then updated for 1 time. But nothing automatically.

It's been more than 2 weeks since I upgraded to 5.0.0.586, and now the weather icon is updating correctly. So this might effectively be a 5.0.0.602 issue.

thanks for the info HaTax!

Hi HaTaX
Thank so much for this theme its just the best, did you ever create a full screen calender only version? Also is there a way to stop the short cuts in the dial from home screen, UK numbers all begin with a 0 so its a bit frustrating.
Look forward to more of your work.

hello, been looking for a good today theme for quite a while now and from what i am seeing/reading here this is probabaly the one. so i tried dowloading OTA and via desktop manager, but i cannot seem to get this installed.
no error message after the OTA download/installation, phone actually mentions that the application is correctly installed and ready to use. however when wanting to cnage the theme, it doesnt show in the list of themes. where is it??
i run 4.6 OS on a BB 9700 bold, so it should work, shouldnt it?

Thanks for the great theme, but is there a possibility to get only the today theme with messages and calendar, without changing the background, the purple fixed background in the settings and the dislocation of the folders?

I just need a simple today theme which brings me only the messages and calendar on the main screen without changes anything additional.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers,
Roland

It's my first post and all I have to say is "thank you"

You solved all my "beginner problems" with one strike: the start screen view
and the newest shortcut for QuickLaunch.

best regards
Oliver

And the 0 key for profiles is a bad solution for me too. I dial alot of intl numbers.

Other than that it looks amazing so far!

Ok, is there a way to get the them that the 8320 had, which was just the Today Theme:
Messages
Calendar
call log

That's all I am looking for...

Forgive me if I missed the post on it...if there is one that exists...

Default Calendar and Messages on Home screen

Hey HaTaX, really great theme....

Just wondering, my new messages and calendar appointments are not showing, the icons are there for the home screen and they link to the respective program, but the new messages and appointments aren't showing... is there a setting i have to activate?

You can't see it in the left picture, but there is a today area in the middle of the screen that will display "today" information from any of the top 3 icons or the bottom 6 icons. The today area is setup to show up to 6 lines of information.

http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/813...s9700home1.pnghttp://img62.imageshack.us/img62/163...s9700home2.png

Hopefully having the 3 icons at the top will let the people who wanted more icons available on the homescreen move their other desired apps onto the bottom row of 6. This way you've got 9 icons (besides the profile icon) on the homescreen with the ability to customize the lower 6.

Also if you look closely at the picture, the background on the left is slightly darker. That's because I am using a very slight mask when the icons are on the screen to improve readability of the today text and everything else on the screen.

Let me know your thoughts on this layout....
Where can I get this version?
