Hi,

Does anyone know if there's a guide for applying windows updates and blackberry updates to the bes? We're on 5.0.2 and I dont want to break anything with an update.

So far, I have only apply critical and high security updates, make sure mapi and cdo levels are the same and dont update Java.

You are correct about MAPI/CDO and Java. MAPI/CDO on BES doesn't necessarily have have to be the same as Exchange; it can also be higher.

I am not sure if a general RIM doc exists on windows updates, but I do know that the updates in the following article have bitten a ton of my customers:

KB25330-The BlackBerry Administration Service runs very slowly or is unresponsive after an operating system hotfix is applied

Also, SP1 for server 2008 R2 rolls up 3 of these hotfixes that will break the BAS services.
