Default it policy removal not worked??

Please Login to Remove!

hey all,
thought it about time i removed the it policy on the phone,
followed the info in the faq's but i still have the IT policy, (before i restored the settings it had the IT policy still on it) - bb8700f OS4.5.069

is it worth me doing it all again?? the device wipe took forever too (about 1 1/4 hours), is that normal??

would really like ot be able to load opera onto it and use it without a data plan but am a bit stuck at the mo!

any help or pointers very gratefully received!

Timmo.

Are you still connected to the BES that put the IT policy in place?

no, i got the bb via ebay in march time and run it PAYG on orange (in the UK) and have it as a very good organiser/calander and texting device, but would love to be able to use it for minor internet without a data program but need to rid the IT policy to load Opera,
i think i'll try it again tomorow and see if it works then!

Just use this to remove the IT Policy. Now that you have OS 4.5 you can just install and run the program.

erm,. i think i have an issue with that link, all it seems to do is open my download window, so click either save or run and it downloads opens another window, then closes it and goes back to the oopen save cancel pop up, continually does this! (i let it run 10 incase it was all different sections of the program) and all the program's are empty!??!

updated the OS this morning to 4.5.0.110 and followed the set up again through blackberryfaq's and had the same result, after an hour of memory wiping and reconecting to desktop nothing has changed!

the above link still doesnt seem to want to work either, stumped now!
