Your going to require a GSM device probably your only option for int'l coverage. ATT, Cingular, TMo.

Nextel does offer a rental program for international BB use. Call customer care and they can set you up.

Just go and buy a used i2000plus as there GSM.Then just make sure they've got agreements in SA.
