Default 8800 Email Reconcilation Question

Please Login to Remove!

If I delete an email in Outlook, should it delete off my blackberry? I can get the opposite to work, but deleting an email in Outlook will not remove it from my BB.

I am on a BES

Yes, depending on how you delete it from Outlook.

Are you pressing delete or are you doing Shift + Delete? What version of BES do you have installed? Have you enabled hard delete support?

... moving to BES Admin Corner.

No, the file just gets moved the Deleted Items folder. Are you saying I have to do a hard delete for it to work?

We are on BES 4.0.6.12 according to the Help -> About Blackberry Manager menu in the Blackberry Manager app.

We are on Exchange 5.5 right now so we can't upgrade. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, as an FYI, 4.0 SP7 is the newest ... and as of yesterday RIM EOL'd 4.0, so going forward you may be required to upgrade to 4.1 ...

Which SP of Exchange 5.5? what version of the Exchange tools do you have installed on the BES?

Depends on how you have it configured but it should if you have it set up to do so.

Precisely -- email needs to remain in deleted items until reconciled.

Well I dont understand what is wrong. If I delete it off BB, it will delete off my Blackberry within a few minutes. I delete in Outlook and it never deletes off my BB. I've got the BB set to delete on mailbox and handeld and my mailbox wins. No luck.

Only thing I can think is that this has something to do with our BES still being set up with Exchange 5.5 and not our 2003.

Move your BESAdmin mailbox to your 2003 server and upgrade the tools on your BES to match the version you have on Exchange.
