I have visual voice mail with verizon - someone left me a voice mail and I could not figure out how to retrieve my voice mail!! Finally I saw a menu in SMS - that makes no sense at all - why would anyone look in SMS to access their voice mail? There must be another way to access voice mail right? Surely verizon wouldn't make SMS in the only place to be able to call your voice mail?

Do you have an icon on your bb that looks like a head and shoulders.
press menu and make sure it's not hidden or in the download folder.

I have two icons that fit that description:

1. a head and shoulder icon - this is my visual voice mail icon.

2. an all red head and shoulder icon - this is My Verizon.

I don't see a menu item that allows me to call in to check my voice mail.

If you have the VVM click on the Icon. If you don't hold down the "W" key and it will call your VM.
