Any other thoughts?
Thanks so much for all your hard work. Here are a few suggestions:

1. User adjustable speed of the Disco mode.

2. Similar to Disco, it would be really cool to have a 'Pulse' mode for each of the preset colors. I.e., it would pulse or glow red, from 0 to 255 to 0.

3. Don't know if this is necessary, but if the drain of the LED's is more than trivial, then maybe don't activate LED's if the battery is <10%.

Has anyone noticed that when you set Blingball to Red, it's exactly like HAL 9000, even the chrome surround. I think I will have to have a ringtone of HAL singing "Daisy, Daisy".

This is possible and will be looked into.

Not easily done or maybe not even possible. The disco mode uses a built in feature from RIM, you actually set the trackball to a pattern. The pattern takes the form of 0x00RRGGBB, duration, transition. So for example, doing RED then GREEN then BLUE would be something like 0x00FF0000, 150, 50, 0x0000FF00, 150, 50, 0x000000FF, 150, 50. I am not sure how long the pattern can actually be since this is not well documented. If you can make it big, you could do a bunch of levels of red. I'll play with it and see what happens. It could have a big impact on the memory if the array that holds this pattern gets really big.

LEDs in general are very lower power consumption so I suspect this is not really needed. Your backlight draws much more power than the LED.

Nope, it's 8100 only. No other devices are supported. That's even in the first post.

He's got a donate button in the first post. He's not asking for donations really, but I'm sure he's happy to get them.

OMFG! I just can't help myself from yelling "YEAH!" when I saw your Beta2 ver. THANKS SO MUCH RGeorge! You are THE ONE! You brought us hope to stay long with our 8100!

- I think it's great to have the "Fading Color" function, to automatically, lovely and smoothly change the colors.
- Another is the "ON and OF switch" in the BlingBall Options. Just in case right?
- And, err... it's good if it automatically turns to Disco Mode if you play a song in Media? Auto Off if you play a video? And turn back to previous state after quitting Media?

I have the 4.2 version and this works perfect on it too. You need some kind of pimp award for this program.

IS there a way to keep the Disco feature on even when your screen goes dark? I have another app that lets me do this but the colors just cycle through
