Default BIS 2.6 Google App Acount - Not Working!

Please Login to Remove!

After removing and readding my Google App account, I am not getting any email sent to my device. Not pushed, not polled, nothing... Have tried removing and readding many times. At this point I am at a loss. The account gets added to the BIS interface just fine. But mail never arrives on the device (aside from the activation messages generated by RIM)

Should I get on the phone with T-Mo and have them connect me with RIM? Or are people still experiencing issues from the roll out??

Have you re-sent your service books, did a battery pull?

I have the new Storm (Verizon) and all of my e-mail accounts work perfectly EXCEPT for the Google hosted one. I haven't received one e-mail (except from the activation server).

Guys... Spent the better part of the day on the phone with RIM to no avail.

BUT, I figured out the issue myself. If you have the "Advanced IMAP Controls" labs feature enabled, you MUST have the "All Mail" folder shown in IMAP. It appears that RIM is polling from the All Mail folder and not the Inbox.

Just where are these settings exactly? I'm lost again...

That explains why they are picking up sent mails too!

"Advanced IMAP Controls" is a labs feature in GMail. Once you enable it there are some additional IMAP options. One of the options is that you can "hide" labels / folder from IMAP... In my case and, I think for many others using GMail IMAP with a desktop client, I had the "All Mail" folder hidden, because I don't want duplicates of my Inbox + my archive on my local computer... BIS 2.6 checks the "All Mail" folder for new messages to push to the device, so if you have it hidden, no soup for you.
