Default Basic Theme - 4.5

Please Login to Remove!

Theme name: Basic
Theme author: Heavy Fluid
Theme credits: Icons/wallpaper/recolors/various other small things by me, other stuff found on the internet
Supported Device Model(s) and OS: 83xx/88xx 4.5
Download Link(s): Not available yet
Theme Cost: Unknown

I wanted to get some feedback on this theme, and if I should put it out there or not. I wanted to create just a basic no frills theme. This one is just black and white, everything is clean and easy to read. I made all of the icons. All icons change to white when you focus on them. First 9 icons are user customizable. Please let me know what you think of this one. I am looking for constructive criticism. Thanks a bunch.

All screenshots taken with CaptureIt, so colors may be a little off, etc.

If someone that is extremely proficient with Plazmic could PM or email me, I have a favor to ask of you. Thanks!!

Thank you. I am beta testing it right now. Found a few things I need to fix. 9 icons like that is too many. They look good until you get a new notification, or notifications on text, email and BBM. They overlap. OK, that is why you beta test before you release it.

I was really going for a super simple and clean theme. Thanks for the feedback.

I like it too...I think it would look better though if you flipped the black and white (made the background black and the lettering white).

Or maybe make the background more of a grayish or more of an off white??? I mean you are correct simple but pretty cool, just play with the background that is the only thing that really stands out with me.

I like the clean layout - and like ScooterG - could you have the inverted colouring (white fonts on black b/g)?

Offering the two layouts (white on black and black on white) would be even better!

When I saw it, the first thing I thought is that there should be a version that's black with green fonts - to look like the old Hercules-standard computer monitors of the 1980s. I'd like that very much

I can do a white on black, maybe release it as a package? It definitely needs some work. I will see what I can do with it, and maybe put it out there in the next week or so.

One problem, what about third party apps and their icons? AFAIK, you can't change third party icons on your theme. That one always seems to blow up any kind of list theme.
