Thumbs up I love the voice dialer.

Please Login to Remove!

The voice dialer is absolutly outstanding. I do alot of calls from the car and it beats even looking up contacts in the phonebook.

Anyone else find it the help I am?

Oh yeah, it's awesome. I just leave my phone in my pocket and press the button on my headset and say a command. I don't even have to touch the phone. It's great!

I freaking LOVE it. It's amazing. I havehad no problems, it has recognized everyone I've said. I love it, pretty much what I use most of the time. Very exciting and totally beats my last phone where you could only have about 10 voice entries!

I'm ecstatic because I finally have voice dialing over Bluetooth that works! That was one of the major downsides to my old Treo.

I love voice dailing myself too! I think Voice Signal will end up being a very big company soon. Even Dragon Naturelly Speaking is in a lawsuit because they copy Voice Signal technology.

I think in 5 to 10 years from now, we can talk to it just like talking to a human.

I loved voice dialing on my first pearl. But alas, that one had other problems and had to be replaced. The voice dialing on my replacement pearl doesn't understand 80% of what I say. Any ideas on making it more useful?

Sorry your is not working well. I find mine working at about 90% or higher! I did go in ans add a few last names to separate a few of my contacts but I have never seen any voice control to work this well.

This is the way things are SURPOSED to work!

Go to menu/options/voice dialing. Change the sensitivity to -3 or -2 (reject less). Let us know...

Took me about 20 tries to figure out you needed to say the entire name (first/last) to dial from the phone book. My last phone you said the first name only.

it needs whatever name you include in the address book.

on some of my contacts i ONLY have included a first name so that's all I say and the phone "understands"

I had a previous phone that let me put in a name AND a "nickname" I could use the nickname only to dial that person (or their full name. it was up to me). I wish the blackberry had that feature.

Make sure you didn't import some of your contact information. Imported contacts will not get 'registered' with the voice dialing program and you need to reset it to get them registered.. I had 1 out of 500 contacts working then did the trick (thank you forum members!) and voila -- it was working 100% !

I recall Cingular charging extra for voice dialing... is that system assisted voice dialing vs local pearl application dialing?
