Default What do you have stored on your Micro SD Card?

Please Login to Remove!

I have one 2GB card loaded with pictures and mp3 albums that I keep in 95 percent of the time and another 2GB taped into a pouch behind the battery door with all the George Romero zombie movies and the 3 classic Star Wars movies.

what are you packin'?

Nothing. If you do not listen to music, I kinda find the 2gb as wasted space.

I transferred the Micro SD card from my 8100 so it has some pictures, wallpapers, ringtones, music that I had on there from the Pearl. Biggest disappointment though is the videos, I had 2 full lenght movies that played fine on my Pearl, but when I launch them on the 8800 they say loading, then nothing. Darn, not sure why.

Wirelessly posted (eighty-seven hundred: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I use a 2 gig.

On it I have a couple hundred songs [maybe less.]

I also store wallpapers and other images on it.

No movies, though.

What kind of headset do you use to listen to the MP3's. I don't want to listen to them on the speaker.

I personally use the plantronics bluetooth stereo headset (pulsar 590). I know the phone isnt a2dp but the plantonics headset has an adapter you can plug in to make anything (ipod, phone, ect) accept stereo bluetooth. It also has excellent voice quality for making/receiving phone calls. $120 or so price tag on ebay...but worth it IMO.

I use the Etymotic ER-6i's but you can use pretty much any wired headset/earphones with a 3.5mm jack with Seidio's audio adapters.

^ Which cannot compensate when the production source is less than 192, especially with a degrading adapter.

I have a 512K card that's mostly empty. I have lots of pictures that are bb-sized, so they only take 20K each. I also have a backup of my Roboform passcards and pass2go, just in case, and a few other docs that I "might" need.

is their a way to make it so that it plays all the songs in the song folder. Or do you have to choose each song by hitting "next"

I didn't know movies were so easy to store on the blackberrys.

How do you get them small enough to put on the card?

Question Can Applications / Files be stored on Card???

Hi All:

First time post, new to the BB. A VZW user waiting on the 88xx series and trying to learn as much as I can before making the switch. Long time Palm OS / Treo user currently on the Win Mob 5.0 platform with the XV-6700. Have simply gotten tired of the unstable OS, daily resets and awful hardware.

My question relating to this thread is can applications and files be stored on the card ala Win Mobile and the Palm OS? I went through the replies and it would seem that the files mentioned are all multimedia.

I plan on installing Dynoplex Office (not sure which version) and wanted to know between that, an Expense application and Pocket Day if I would basically be out of RAM and sh*t out of luck? For the Office application obviously I will have various docs that I need with me and wanted to know if those could be stored on the card and accessed without issue. Do you have the option of installing an application and running it from the card?

Any assistance would be appreciated... thanks.

Jeff

PS - On a Corp Agreement with VZW and our rep came in last week and assured me the 88xx series does exist with them and will be out May / June. Without much prodding, she even called it the Cyclone and mentioned it would be CDMA / GSM capable but with no camera or WiFi. The guy with her said he had it in his hand last week at a meeting with RIM and it was "very sharp" like the AT&T version with dark plastic and chrome on the sides.
