I think I understand what makes that happen with some users and not others; I am with Alltel and installed the upgrade by following the instructions in post #1 of this thread, finally. No problem or hitch after discovering my mistake:
I did start off wrong myself..
by downloading the new upgrade and then trying to use the desktop software *before* installing the downloaded file. This caused me to not have a vendor.xml file to delete. .. lol .. so, I posted here and embarrassed myself, but just installed the new file, then deleted the vendor file then everything went honky-dorey.
Works great, seems faster too.
I wonder if maybe there's a problem with doing the instructions in the wrong order, as I did.
