Default Help Please!!

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 8700c and I cant get past a screen that has a 507 code at the bottom with a little circle, little square, and a little triangle in a bigger box in a bigger circle crossed out, I called tech support and they said that I needed to do a master reset but I cant get into the screens to do that, is there any other way I can reset it? I have internet connection if I need to do that? Please Help havent had it but a few months and dont have insurance.

I cant seen to find vendor.xml or anything please help Im retarded

You need to follow these instructions to the letter and you will be fine! Post back any questions you have...

First pull the battery and let it reboot and see what happens. That will do the reset.

Welcome to BlackBerry Forums. Sorry you had to call tech support in order to get useless information. The 507 means that that there is no Operating System on the BlackBerry. Here's what you need to do:

- Download the latest version of the 8700 operating system. Start here -> https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4 <- and download the handheld operating system for the 8700.

- Execute the program you just downloaded

- Locate and delete VENDOR.XML on your PC C: drive

- Connect the BB and restart Desktop Manager

It should reload now.

how do you find the VENDOR file, I did a scan on my C drive and couldnt find it?

It may not be there.

Continue the process by connecting the BB and starting Desktop Manager.
