Hi,

My dad has the BB Torch and is quite happy with it but he has one problem. Each time he receives an e-mail it only last for a day!

His settings are set for "keep forever" so what's the problem?

How come?

this could be an auto deletion issue which is faced due to handset memory being critically low. check if there is any unwanted DATA in ur handset either move it to SD card or delete it and try to keep all ur media files such as pics, vdos, audios on memory card rather than handset. if this deletion issue is on only one specific email then contact the email service provider and if it is in every mail that is integrated then go for the process that i mentioned above. and then hard reset ur device. see if it sorts the problem.

How much free memory does he have?

Have you tried a battery pull to see if that has any effect?

Is it general emails or only specific ones disappearing?

Is it a BIS account. in new BIS version there is option " Delete Synch " option ,just logon on BIS service option and disable the above option and keep it under observation

my emails also disappear without warning. they disappear onmy bb but are still on outlook 97 on my desktop
i have a bis account tried all the settings i can find but the emails still disappears.
i have a torch 9800 only a few weeks old and has plenty of memory.

very frustrating has anyone found a solution?

Did you check the previous posts for your issue?
If so let us know how did it go.

Also, if you havent checked, go on your email options and check on "Message Display and actions", check how many days your device are keeping the messages for but bear in mind that the more days you have them on your device, more memory will get used.

Still no luck with my dad's BB.

My dad's phone is hardly near being full, so what's the problem?

My dad is fine with it as he is used to it now but I want to know what's the reason behind this weird issue because it doesn't happen to my BB bold 9700 and we have the same settings.

His emails only disappear from his BB and not from his windows mail.
