Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone knows how to set the default install options for a device software configuration under BES 5. I have successfully setup the device software configuration itself and can load a device OS without any issue, but I cannot seem to find a way to control what apps/options (ie, Input Languages, DOD Root Certificates, Blackberry Maps, etc) are installed/not installed by default during the load process. In BES 4.1 this was done fairly easily from the software configuration screen and you could check or uncheck these options just as you would in the apploader itself, but in BES 5 I cannot find a similar setting.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

BES 5.0 should help in this area. I asked RIM and a RIM trainer in regards to BES4.1, the only control we have in regards to pre-set of the device options are from the IT-Policy at this time.

We have some options we change out of the box before deploying, and still have to manually perform them. (ie: ICQ, etc. we hide the icons that we block by policy "service exclusitivty" , but the icon still shows on the device and other power setting features that will give the client a better experience)
