When i put this SIM Card in my BBERRY i get the message "INVALID SIM CARD". This mean the device is Locked on Cingular proivder ? Or the SIM Card from my cell GSM Provider not have tehnical specification ?.
The phone is sent to Romania from U.S. and have the Cingular logo on it.

waw,
thank's alot !!!
That will be great.
Thank's alot.
My main problem is i don't know if my BBERRY is a sim locked phone or the SIM card which i put inside is not suported by 7290 model.
I think this because with a Connex SIM Card inside i get message "No valid SIM CARD", the message is the same if is no SIM card in the SIM soket on the BBERRY.
Thank's alot.
I wait some more suggestion about you guys if you know how i can find if the phone is sim locked or not support my Romanian Sim Card.
Best Regards.

The 7290 needs to be unlocked for your sim card since it is locked to Cingular. I believe Cingular will "unlock the berry" (that is the title of the unlock thread which is right below this one) for a price of $30 or so? What the number is to call and have it unlocked I do not know, that is something you will have to find.

My BBERRY is lock, i know for sure now is locked becuase without a sim card inside i got the message "Invalid sim card" and i can not call 112 emergency service.
With a Romanian SIM Card inside the message in the same "Invalid sim card" but....i can call 112. This mean the phone is lock !!!
Thank's for the answers and i will try to check the posibility to find customer phone number and call Cingular and reques my unlock code.
Thank's alot.

One more thing...
With the Cingular sim card inside, on the "tolls", when i scroll to "SIM Card" and hit "mepd" i got the following message;

Personalization:
SIM disable
Network available
Network subset disable
Service Provider disable
Corporate disable

With a Romanian SIM card provider i get the following.

Personalization:
SIM disable
Network Unknown
Network subset disable
Service Provider disable
Corporate disable

Anyone know a Cingular customer phone number where i can to call to request from they the unlock code ???
