So I got the blackberry storm the other day, and I absolutely love it. I am still figuring everything out and playing around with it.. but there is one thing I can not figure out, and have yet to find out.
On all the other blackberries I had the message alerts would always give you the option on how many times you wanted the message alert to go off. It was usually 3 times it would go off (not talking about the LED flashing, but the actual sound). However on the storm it only goes off once. I am not able to change it for some reason. I can change the number of vibrates, but not the actual sound alert...
does anyone know why?? or how to change this thanks!

i also was curious about this. i posted a similar thread just a few days ago. received a reply but only affects the vibration, and not the audio alerts as you mention.

hopefully someone will post or figure something out.

perhaps future updates will offer the three alerts per message type as well.

The 8830 has the same issue. I purchased BBalerrs from handango which adds this functionality and then some

Maybe with one of the updates they are doing they will update the message alert, I really liked the 3 message indicator. Sometimes I dont even hear my phone go off...
but all in all I LOVE the blackberry storm, just need to get used to the touch screen keyboard, haha.

I am glad I found this post, I thought I was going crazy because I couldn't figure out how to change the number of rings/sounds. This is a real pain, as if you miss the one beep/sound you better hope you see the LED. I always had mine set to 3, hopefully RIM will take care of us soon
