You mean you can see the impulse buy coming? Is it still an impulse buy if you do research first?

Yeah, the $2,000 LV luggage pales in comparison to a $10,000 plasma television.

You make a good point of course. I guess the impulse is in suddenly wanting something. Then like a good technical person, I do some research and then go buy it.

Way too much. 3 belts, 4 pieces of luggage, 2 mobile thingeys, 1 keychain, 6 purses. Oh 3 pairs of shoes. So not just luggage :$. I think my dad got his ulcers from that credit card bill!

Knowing what I know about LV prices, that is probably over $30,000 (depending on the exact pieces she got)!

That's what I call shopping.

It was done in a span of 2 days actually, given that she was angry for nearly a week, a two day LV shop-fest was better than a week long!!

I suppose so...

Did she hit any other stores in that time (hopefully for your dad's sake she avoided Asprey )?

I was blown away by Asprey's prices when I was in London. Absolutely insane (and I'm not surprised by things like that). The shops here in the US require appointments.

Sounds like me. And that's only if it's something that I can't (or shouldn't) purchase online.

Right. If I can sit here in the comfort of my own home, I'll grab it off of Amazon in a heartbeat.

A lot of exclusive jewelry brands here require appointments. as you know we're pretty big on jewelry. i mean women can wear up to $50,000 worth of diamonds/precious stones in one night. and they have to be so exclusive.. so we have 'by appointment only'. i remember a friend of mine, on her wedding day, wore a necklace with 700 diamonds. she had security on either side.
