Default 8220 turning itself off and on

Could this be a battery issue? The battery seems fine, but perhaps a new one would fix it. I've seen others say they have had this problem too. My phone has never been anywhere near water, but the sticker on the bottom of the battery is pink. Help please!

It doesn't necessarily take the blackberry in liquid or liquid splasing on the blackberry to cause moisture problems. Sweaty pocket, even, has been reported to cause issues. If the moisture indicator has changed color, the blackberry has been exposed to moisture in some way. See Got Your BlackBerry Wet? - BlackBerryFAQ. That is probably the most likely cause of your problem considering the indicator.

Yeah I was just thinking that maybe the battery has been messed up somehow and a new one would fix the off/on by itself problem.

And apparently I can't quote you because I don't yet have 10 posts

Wirelessly posted (8820)

There are toher possibilities. But given the moisture idicator, rule that out.... Remove the battery and dry the blackberry good. Then see where you stand.
