assuming you choose your options correctly, it *should* keep things the way they are currently (i never have to reload anything, atleast). i'm not sure if CDMA devices are different than GSM/GPRS devices, but some users who upgrade their GSM/GPRS devices have to do a Host Routing Table update or resend their service books due to not having a browser.

also, just a warning, with the flakiness of most EV-DO networks and the BlackBerry handhelds (atleast that's my impression), this may not be the best of reasons to update your handheld (but then again, why not try it).

nope. it won't know the difference - the OS/applications is carrier independent while the platform/radio code is carrier-specific. this means that if there is a hole in the EV-DO network for Bell and its been addressed by them and added to the code by RIM, this patch won't be present in the Sasktel radio code (most likely). however, general improvements to the radio code and bluetooth code will be included across the board for that particular platform version.

haha. be sure to let everyone know - you may very well be the first person in the world (short of RIM and Sasktel employees and/or beta testers) that has installed this particular OS download.

hope that makes you nervous...

What an F'in joke....If anyone dup posts, they get BLASTED by mods, but if a mod does it, it does not even get a second thought. Fuggin hipocrates... Now I'm not saying JIBI did anything wrong.. The problem I have is with the mods when they bust peoples balls over something so stupid..

i don't bust anyone's chops about anything (except dumb people who can't read). i've made it a practice with these new OS releases to put them here for reference and put them in the correct forum as well. i did this with jnelson's thread on Telstra's OS with placing it in the 8700 forum as well. the issue that comes up is when 10 people post the same thing (atleast from my own perception).

I think you did the posting PERFECTLY, it belongs in both forums.. It's the selective crackdown that really pisses me off

Unhappy Darn!

My transfiguration is not going exactly as planned. My enterprise is not hooking up with the new OS and our subcontracted IT support is telling me to go back to the old. Any thoughts?
