The best option for battery life is an older device like the 9780. The Q10 is terrible for battery.

I was going to say just the opposite...compared to my 9930, using both phone the exact same way (twitter, FB, a few calls, some surfing, some GPS'ing), from 0700 to after midnight my Q10 usually has ~25% battery left at the end of the day, whereas the 9930 had to be charged at about 2000 hours.

I have to agree with dc/dc. the Z10 is not as good as my 9810 or 9700. maybe the new OS is the issue

Battery life depends on how you use the device. There is no "best" battery or "best" device.

Not sure about it being the OS (though some versions burn through the battery like it's always running 100%), but I can get a full day out of mine if I stay away from Android apps (stay away or make sure they are closed when I am finished using them) It depends on what you use your device for at the end of the day. I have yet to see a 'best' battery or 'longest lasting batt/phone', there is always a trade off. LTE, larger screens, more open apps, everything is connected and push/polled/sync'd.

On the Z10 I dont have any Apps except the email and other corporate items like calendar etc. Compaired to the 9810 using the same items it seems to be a lot different. I could get 6am to 11pm on one charge and still have 60% on the 9810. The Z10 is down to 40% at around 6-7 pm and I'm usually looking for an outlet. Maybe it's the BES side causing the drain. My only other thought is as you suggest, LTE drain. Too bad you cannot shut off LTE and run on 4g.
