I am assuming that this will be corrected when the official version comes out. I mean I can deal with it. I havent tried YouMail but maybe I will....always down for something new.

JC do you think it is worth keeping even though we dont get the VM indicator?

Ok - updated to .42 and after 30 minutes 8320 rebooted...if it does it again, it's back to a stable version.

Most likely the rebooting is caused my your mem card. Remove it and see what happens. You will probably need to reformat it in 4.5.

Didn't even notice it was posted via wap. spelling errors are completely acceptable when posting via WAP.

I loaded .42 O/S last night. It's been working pretty good so far for me.

I just have 2 questions:
1) I have 3 email accounts being pushed to my 8310 and just wondering how I change what the [default] email address is.
2) How do I change the "default browser/default wap browser" from the BB Rogers Browser to Opera?

Thanks in advance.

2. You can't.

Changing default email:

You cannot change the default browser to opera I believe:
change default blackberry browser opera - Google Search

I believe I'm going to go to the TMO store, get my current SIM copied and do the .42 upgrade, that way I have a spare SIM if it fries.

Thanks for the reply....

However, whenever I try to email a video it doesn't use the default which i set as the hotmail acct instead the yahoo account is used.

Any ideas why it does this?

Because the default is overridden if you have emailed that contact before with another email account.

I never used that account to email the contact before but it always uses yahoo anyways.

that is a known quirky thing with all of the 4.5 betas. You may have to switch back if it is a major impediment to your bb usage.

Although the OS didn't do anything detrimental to my device, it got on my nerves. The bugs were just not what I wanted. And from what I see, were going to have to deal with them even with the final release. I mean, remember the first set of memory leaks? And JC reminded me of their reason. I have way too many 3rd party apps that I need. And if they create the bugs, ill just keep on trying, and wiping till I get it right.

OK, I confess-I finally took the plunge and attempted to download.42. When I attempted the upgrade from Desktop Manager, I got an error message: "App"Browser" cannot be loaded as "rim.blackberry.xml" is not availible".

Anyone else get this?

You made an error while editing your Blackberry.alx file. if you kept a copy of the original blackberry.alx then restore that. If not, either fix the blackberry.alx or reinstall the OS.
