I love the theme and have been using it for a while. No problems at all so far. Would it be possible to get a variation of this theme that doesnt have the shortcuts?

OMG!!!! Thank you soooooooo much! Finally i found a today plus with shortcuts, awesome! I'm new to this forum, and I'm so glad i stumbled upon it. I'm using this theme and absolutely love it. I have a couple of questions though. Is it possible to make the font just a tad bigger? Also would you consider a version where messages are on the bottom instead of the top? I tend to scroll to my messages more to open them, whereas my calendar events are usually just a visual reminder. Just a thought....

Awesome, clean work! thanks again

Hi Hatax,

I'm completely new to this thread and have spent quite a while reading through the whole thread. I love all the themes and have downloaded and tried them all..

One thing I'm DYING to see that I can't find anywhere and have been looking for since I had my first blackberry - is a today theme that has TASKS and Calendar. Not messages..

I'd love to see something like this if you can somehow do that..

Otherwise, love and will continue to use the rest of your themes..

Thanks

Tasks can't be shown as a Today Plus item...it's a limitation of either OS or Plazmic, or both.

Default HaTaX - love the work you have done here

Great job - you have really helped out the community. Most users that I know just want to be able to see a quick view of their calendar and emails as they rush from meeting to meeting. I love the clean interface, nothing is cluttered and is perfect for that quick high level view. You mentioned that a weather icon is coming as well as more buttons on the home screen - great stuff.

I am trying to install the latest version of the Today-9700 theme but am having some problems. I tried installing ota but after a reboot the theme doesn't show up. When I try to install it using the DM i get this error: "this application is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded" I tried searching but have not come up with anything. Any thoughts. I'm using a T-Mobile 9700 Platform 5.1.0.121 App Version: 5.0.0.442 (726)

This is a great theme...thanks Hatax for all the work.

Just a quick question though..is there a way to disable the shortcut keys? The area code I live in starts with "6" and I like to be able to dial from the home screen but keep getting the profile menu popping up instead.

Cheers.

I really like this theme! thanks a lot!

In my opinion it would be nice to have one with a weather slot on top right.

Only a small thing

I agree with adding a weather slot. I'm certainly grateful for this theme, Hatax. You have done so much with this since the original incarnation.

Hatax, for the record... this theme is the most usable and aesthetical I've ever seen. The one and only I use

Glad to see people are still grabbing the theme and enjoying it! I've made some major progress with my new version(s) of the theme and would like a few people to test it if possible... If you'd like to give it a shot, shoot me a PM and I'll send you a link to them to try out.

If it's relatively bug free for the testers, then I'll probably unleash this upon the masses.

The new version is pretty different from the this one in that it is a hidden today theme, vs the display of everything all the time currently. I may also take the theme from this thread and make an updated version with weather in it as well. The idea with this one was to keep the SVG file as small as possible and as close to stock as possible, but I think I can add the weather icon in without too much trouble.

Judging from the responses in the thread, a weather version would probably be desirable by a large group of people? Simplicity with weather?

Thanks again for all the great comments and feedback, I really appreciate it!

I have the same question (same type of dialing issue), is there a way to disable the shortcut keys?

Personally I LOVE the theme, i would prefer the simplicity route though without the weather app being built in. It would be nice to have an version with and one without the weather. That being said, I can appreciate why you wouldn't want so many different versions floating around out there catering to so many different requests.

Do the theme based shortcuts override the DIAL FROM HOME SCREEN setting? I have DIAL FROM HOME SCREEN off to take advantage of other shortcuts (Browser, messeNger, Options, etc)...

If so, that's just wrong.

Default You asked for it, you got it!

Okay, there's been quite a few requests for this theme to have a weather slot added to it. I've been putting the finishing touches on a slew of new themes and think that there will still be people that want to use this theme because of it's simplicity and non-hidden today items.

So I've made a new version of this theme that is exactly the same, with the addition of a weather slot in the upper right corner for both the homescreen and lockscreen. You can scroll to it by going right from the profiles icon, and it's mapped to slot #7 in your applications list. There have been no other changes to this theme other then the weather slot, hopefully that keeps most people appeased.

Keep an eye out for my new themes as I'll be posting them up soon enough...

HataxL

The OTA link failed for no file found, so I tried to download the jax file, but then desktop manager said no installation because the software was not for the 8900.

Is there a way around all this ?

HaTax:

By the way, just want to say THANK YOU for sharing your time and talents in developing this simple but very useful theme. As I get older, I just want to be able to read the information and do not care much about the background image. So many themes out there look good but the back ground images are so bright or too much color, making it very hard to read the information ( appmts, task etc ...) , esp. when it is dark or in full bright sun.

Additionally, I want to add a suggestion or two for those of us whose eyesights are getting bad with ages.

1. Is there a way to insert the dash into the phone number, either in the coming call screen and/or in the call logs. The dash will help tremendously when we try to write down the phone. Our brain is trained to discern the phone number that way, 1-aaa-bbb-cccc, (just like how we read our social security number, aaa-bb-ccc).

2. Is there a way to make the phone number font bigger in the coming call screen, again for those of us who are 45 or older.

Thanks so much

I added this theme to my new BlackBerry 9700. I was looking for a very simple and clean theme to show new messages and calendar items on the main screen and this does it perfectly. Thanks so much!
