Default CrackBerry launch Discussion

Please Login to Remove!

Just came across this yesterday. It looks like crackberry.com has finally launched.

It's probably going to take them some time to build up their content and users, but they do have one great feature there already - you can get your own @crackberry.com email address. I registered with the site and hooked it up... i got myname @crackberry.com and its set to redirect messages sent to that address right to my berry. Totally cool.

Nah, I think Crackberry is a fun term. Never looked at it in a negative light. May have to check it out One more email address to my ever growing collection.

My thoughts exactly. What's one more email address?

I already got my crackberry e-mail address. I think it is cool to have that kind of e-mail address.

Definitely shows off our habits

Check your spam folder first.
That is where a lot of registrations go because they got caught by the spam filter.

Hey BlackBerryCoolSteve, Thanks for the props!

I'm a fan of your site too. I already linked to BlackBerryCool on our Useful Links page - crackberry.com/useful-links as well as on the BlackBerry Links page of our WAP site - wap.crackberry.com/blackberry.html

I don't really view all of us blackberry-related sites out there as competitors...more so we are players on the same team. Even if you added up every registered member across every blackberry site in existence, barely a dent has been made in the 10+ Million blackberry users worldwide, so we all have a lot of room to grow. And for the real crackberry addicts out there, I don't think one solid blackberry site will ever be quite enough.

We're having a great time with CrackBerry.com so far. I think it's one of those sites that just had to happen. I hope the work and effort we put it into it will do the name justice. We're still very much in "beta mode" - I think sometime next week we will officially launch (still working on some tweaks), but the response we have had so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Hopefully it's a sign of good things to come. I think people are really digging the fact they can grab an @ crackberry.com address as well.

All the best!

Been in communication with the CrackBerry guys already. They are prompt and helpful. I anticipate lots of good things from that forum.

PicoNews users -- I've registered the RSS feed under the BlackBerry section, look for 'CrackBerry.com blogs' or search on the URL to subscribe.

I can't wait to give out my new email address to unsuspecting BlackBerry users I meet around town (SF has a lot of BBs out and about on the streets/busses). I feel a business card change coming on...

Hey All,

We have been running CrackBerry.com live for a few days now, and the initial response we have received from the blackberry addicts who have stumbled upon the site has been overwhelmingly postive.

I think members are loving the fact they can register an @CrackBerry.com email address, and the action in the forums shows me that the blackberry community is eager to turn CrackBerry.com into a site they frequent on a regular basis.

I still consider the site to be in pre-launch mode. We have some tweaks and improvements to make over the next few days that should really help with the the functionality and usability of the site. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to make CrackBerry.com even better, let me know!

To all the people who have registered with the site, thanks for getting us off to a great start! Spread the word! And if you haven't claimed your @crackberry.com email address yet....what are you waiting for?!
