I got the BlackBerry Torch recently and now I'm trying to use the Real Player video converter to download videos from the internet and put them on my phone. Does someone know the ideal video conversion settings for the Torch? I tried several attempts at this and each video either looks like crap or can't be played on my Torch.

I believe its the same as my old Bold 9000.

360 x 480 at 20 frames per second worked best

There's gotta be better settings for the Torch though since it has a lot more RAM and supports more formats than the Bold... I just might have to keep playing around with it.

Well as far as resolution is concerned the Torch has a screen that is 480x360. Setting the video resolution any highger doesn't do anything for you.

I am not completely sure about the framerate, but I'd suggest trying either 24 or 30fps for fluid video playback.

MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV3 are all supported compression formats. Audio wise, use MP3 encoding at 22KHz.

Bold 9000 is 480x320

Thanks Cooper! Out of the supported compression formats which do you think would look best on the Torch? And do you know of any program that's better or easier than than Real Player for video conversion?
