Talking Sort email (newbie)

Please Login to Remove!

I just recently recieved a blackberry (7290) from work and loving it.

Company mail is handled by a BES server. I also setup a personal email address (*@tmo.blackberry.net).

I would like to know if there is a way to keep work and personal email separated. At the moment, everything appears in the "Messages" window.

Ideally, i would like personal email to go into 1 folder and work email into another folder. Like some email programs (thunderbird, outlook) that allow you to filter/sort email depending on the subject/email address/etc.

Is there anything like that built into the blackberry or a third party app that could help?

Thanks

Please use the search next time - this question has been answered many many times before. There is no way to change the "default" view in the messages application, but you can create search filters and assign them to hotkeys - for example, if you were to create an ALT+W search filter (for example) to bring up all messages sent through your work account, and ALT+T search filter (for example) to bring up all messages sent through your tmo address, you have quick shortcuts to different views of your messages.

Default Custom shortcuts are good thing from the new OS.

Also you can see more good things in my tips doc if you are a newbie and like it.

And idea would be to go on to your BIS and set up filters saying when you recieve a message from this addy it goes to this folder. Also what I do for work email is put it as level 1, therefore it comes in bold vs the rest of the email.
