Is this BIS unlimited like tmobile, or is there a monthly data cap limit on this plan? I'm reading that verizon's BIS for $29.99 has 4gb monthly limit. Can someone please confirm this?

Thanks

I dont mind being mandatory, but I do mind if its not unlimited, coz $29.99/month is way too steep if its not unlimited.

Even if the limit if 4 GB, I would really interested to someone coming close to that mark.. I've only done a a couple 100 MB a month.

with the 29.99, is there a voice plan that is required or can you get only this?

I think the limit is to prevent people from tethering their BB to their laptop, which is an additional charge from Verizon. If they see you using that much data they can in effect shut you off until you buy a tethering plan from them. You won't go over just using the phone itself.

I think you have to have a voice plan as well as data. Some carriers let you get the data by itself (it's more $ as standalone with no voice) but not Verizon.

The price is 29.99 if you have a voice plan of 39.99 or higher I think.

Technically it is unlimited but if you exceed 5gb a month on any data plan, they can find you in violation of the Customer Agreement and terminate your service. The following text can be found under Calling Plan Information:

...The Data Plans and Features MAY NOT be used for any other purpose. Examples of prohibited uses include, without limitation, the following: (i) continuous uploading, downloading or streaming of audio or video programming or games; (ii) server devices or host computer applications, including, but not limited to, Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing; or (iii) as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections...

...We reserve the right to protect our network from harm, which may impact legitimate data flows. We reserve the right to limit throughput or amount of data transferred, and to deny or terminate service, without notice, to anyone we believe is using a Data Plan or Feature in any manner prohibited above or whose usage adversely impacts our network or service levels. Anyone using more than 5 GB per line in a given month is presumed to be using the service in a manner prohibited above, and we reserve the right to immediately terminate the service of any such person without notice. We also reserve the right to terminate service upon expiration of Customer Agreement term...

There is a data only plan for blackberries on Verizon, it's 49.99/mo for unlimited data, and 25 cents/min for calls if you make 'em.
