Hey all. Back when I was on a PC I was using my 8703e as a tethered modem. It worked relatively well and was great when I traveled. I switched over to a Mac a few months back and unfortunately they don't have the same software for the Mac. I'm wondering if anyone has been able to get the 8703e to work as a modem (tethered or otherwise) with a Mac?

As of now there is now way to teather an 8703e to a mac. There is one program (I forget the name), that costs about $60.00. Then you have to subscribe to a proxy server for a monthly fee. For the money I would rather buy a wireless card and pay the $50.00 a month with VZ to get true broadband speed.

I wish teathering was availble, for $15.00/mo I am all over that. For $50.00/mo, I'll struggle through it.

Does the 8703e support bluetooth? Does Verizon have a version of firmware 4.2.1.x available for install that doesn't disable the standard bluetooth DUN profiles?

No and No, VZ does not even have 4.2.1.x OS available.
