Default 1GB enough for microSD?

Please Login to Remove!

Looking to pickup a microSD card for my 8820. Is there any specific reason I need to get a 2GB card, or should 1 GB be enough? I will be using it to transfer video to the phone initially, then who knows?

Anyone have a specific need to xfer a file larger than 1GB?

If you want to load up on lots of movies, pictures and music I would suggest a larger card. If you are only going to do a small amount 1GB should be fine. It all depends on your usage. I purchased a 2GB card just because it was a good price and I know it will be a while before I fill it up.

get the 8. You can only use 4 of it now, but once OS 4.5 comes out you can use all 8gb.

The sweet spot, price-wise right now is 4Gb, and your BB can use it all. I picked one up the other day for under $33 shipped, and there are similar deals available from several sources - without requiring a mail in rebate.

I say the more the merrier. Never know when video taking is going to be available and you might want to upgrade your BlackBerry someday!
