Default Should I send service books too after upgrade?

Please Login to Remove!

Just did the upgrade, and it took just over an hour. I have 9 MB of data, which doesn't seem much, so I would have expected it to go faster than that, which was the case with previous upgrades.

Nonetheless, it went well. No errors. And it's not been taking forever to load pictures the first few times I went into media files, like .81 was doing. So far so good!

One more Q: Is it a good idea to always send yourself service books after every OS upgrade too? It's not part of the instructions, but I thought I'd heard it was good practice to do so.

This one is just as fast, and allows to you to go to the home screen while streaming audio (I'm using Moodio). Also gave me a little more free mem.
One thing, if anyone decides to upgrade, my audio sounded garbled on everything, handset, speakerphone and my wired headset after upgrading. I wiped out and then did a clean reinstall of my apps and everything was good after. I normally don't restore settings from older versions, but did it this time and is the only time I have had problems after upgrading.

So you're streaming on the 8100? There was another post by someone who had managed to get Sirius Radio on their 8130. I wonder if it now would be possible to get that on the 8100...

I too find this version to be a wee bit slower than usual

Please help! I did the upgrade last week and the phone was working great. Seemed like a new Pearl! But today, while traveling I lost use of the browser. It just freezes when I click on it. Sometimes I can get to the page with the Bookmarks and History but no further. I did a battery pull, a soft reset, sent service books, registered via the HRT but still nothing. SO I decided to wait until I got home in case it was a service coverage issue (I was in Philly but live in Chicago), but it is still frozen.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

just installed. seams to work good.

Ps: I have followed the Losing Call Logs, SMS or Emails? Optimize your BB! How To Setup for max free memory! guide by John Clark for installing a more lighter OS without any extra theme. It's worth it!

thanks
I have the version too. Do I have to format my memory card before I use it with this new OS? How about with the new ATT 4.5.0.110 OS version on the sticky? Thanks
