I have a Tmobile hot spot subscription to use my laptop in Starbucks...

But I am on o2 Network with the Blackberry 8300 Curve...

I bought it in perhaps too much of a hurry, (I was running, screaming from Treo 750v)

I am thinking a 8820 might suit me better than the Curve (which has no wifi) so a few question to my UK BB comrades

Does the 8820 just latch on to any un password protected and free wifi spots? Is there a security issue with using any old wifi you can find?

Is the screen any bigger than the curve on the 8820 ??

I am not too fussed with the camera on the curve (but the unit is nice and light..)

I DO do a lot of web browsing however (using Opera mini 4 on EDGE mostly)

I was wondering how folks are getting on with it all.

To get the best out of blackberry WiFi in the UK is there an obvious choice for network? The o2 unlimited web / email for £10 seems good but would I better coverage in London on other networks?

I do travel to the US a bit as well..

Latching my Mac laptop to my phones modem is also of interest...
