Sent above link for 8300 to my 8320... OK.
Install from link via forced Wifi (no proxy)...OK.
Starting app... OK.
Signing in... OK.
Scrolling over each widget to force a preload... OK, all widgets load.

We're looking good, Houston - I'm looking at my Flickr stream on the 8320 so far without any problems. Recent comments, new uploads, my comments - all are working. I declare this as an initial success as I can change settings (disable update, disable address book sync, etc.) without any problems at all.

So is this good to use?

Seems good so far - I haven't beaten it up with fervor yet (that will come ), but the basics all work, no wonky error dialogs, no strange behaviour.

Default Somewhat lost -- Help

Just Figured it out. I did not have the complete link. I finally have my flickr back. Thanks so much. I rely on you guys.

Old Post
Okay I started this thread so you would think I could figure this out.
I tried to send the JAD link to myself but could not open the page on the BB browser. Did not see any option to turn off proxy.

Can you post a link that I can go to and download this? Not sure what I am missing here but it appears a couple people have done this.

Re: John's quote about low memory I would be thrilled if someone could just isolate that flickr interface. That is the only thing I use Y.2.0 for.

Thanks

D

I'll want to study this before installing on my 8320, just to see if I can figure out any downsides first.

Excellent discovery!!
Now Yahoo! GO works on the .175 OS on my 8320 without hiccups.

I'll want to study this before installing on my 8320, just to see if I can figure out any downsides first.

lol
Yes sir, but I went to your web page and I read the post you made.
But I guess I dont understand what "navigate to the JAD link" means.
I down loaded the apps.
BUt in your example you know all the info like which webpage to go for Nokia but how do I know which to go for YahooGo 2.0.
Im admitting right here Ive never done this so I am a bit confused.

I tried sending the URL you supplied -http://swacmgr.go.yahoo.com/software...3f6ee5767a0a5f- to my phone.
I downloaded it and ran it.
But it gave me an error saying it encountered a problem during startup.

Im not trying to be a pain.

Here is what I did.
I downloaded all 3 ext.s for Firefox and restarted.
I put in the User agent for Blackberry 8300.
I went to Y! Go Download

I right clicked on page, chose "view page source" then found this http://swacmgr.go.yahoo.com/software...37a5d96ec256a7

I sent that last link to my BB8320.
I opened it up on the phone.
It downloaded - Im assuming you meant to bypass the "permissions" when you said "bypass Yahoo checks".
I hit "run"
It tells me there is a java language error or something like that.
I try to start it up on the Y icon, I choose US English and it says I have a setup error.

What I dont understand is the "JAD code content" you have listed and where I find it or not worry about it.

Can you still help me?
I chose US English
It tells me

It's not you, the app is conking out again - it happened to me yesterday as well when I went to try it. Try again today/tomorrow and it might work - these are the hazards of playing with hacks.

It's just a text file - when you visit the URL with your Firefox & the add-ons active, the click to the JAD file should download to your PC. Just open 'er on up with Notepad or whatever editor you like for your platform. (I use Notepad++ on Windows, vi on linux)

wouldnt ya know it. As soon as i post a help reply the damn thing starts working. Anyway, ive sent so many different links to my phone. whats weird is when i copy and paste it and then email it to myself, the big link shows up for a minute, then i flickers and there are two small links, but only one will be selectable, i resend the same link, and the second time the opposite link is selectable, either way it worked....finally

Try again later, it's happening to everyone - eventually it works. I finally just gave up and uninstalled it because it craps out randomly with "unable to connect" and so forth. It works about 1/4th of the time in my experience, not really all that usable. :(

(sad because I want to run it for my Flickr)
