1. No, Yahoo does have a different icon and is IMAP so it sync's with your webmail.
2. BB Memory.
3. Yahoo address book can be sync'ed ith your BlackBerry so it will be on the BlackBerry(Using BlackBerry memory)
4. Not sure I have not configured my Yahoo email with Outlook.
5. No, I think BES you can not sure. (including Hosted BES)
6. vs full blown BES, you will need to run the Desktop Manager to sync your BlackBerry with the Yahoo webmail, it will not sync wirelessly.
7. There is an Outlook OTA beta going on in the AfterMarket forum, but it might not work with a Mac. Their is a OTA email service... Thinkpost.net they offer wireless sync for $4 a month... Although it is not IMAP like Yahoo, but the sync from Thinkpost is just an application on your BlackBerry, you will want to make sure it works with Mac first, I think their tool only works within Outlook (as a plug-in/Tool Bar).
Hope this helps. (I have been looking into a BES service of some type of wireless sync, and while I support BlackBerry at work we do not have a BES so my knowledge of what BES can do is limited)
