Default Create account log in problems / email set up

Please Login to Remove!

I set up my account on my Bold yesterday.

Have had activation emails and another one telling me my username and password to set up my hotmail account on my handset.

Have tried to go back and set the email up but handset and online are telling me that the username or password is wrong,

I requested a password to be sent to my handset and the password is the same as the email they sent me, so I know the username is correct for definite.

Why would this happen?

Please help as as I have been doing this for hours now.

No I am going mad here as I have the email telling me I have set the account up and clearly giving me the

username
password

I enter the details and it says check your account details.

I now know the password is correct as they re sent it to me but they don't re send the username

Arrghhhhhhh

call the service provider when you can, they can reset/tell you what it is.

when using the phone, i had problems connecting once, no idea why. but i dont have the problem using the PC.

is it case sensitive? caps lock on?

other than that, you're gonna have to call your provider about it, if you cant remember

lol i know what you mean.
the only other thing, is possibly that you're not on the correct carrier BIS page...but it seems doubtful.
what country/network you on?

I'm having the same problems with my phone (I'm with Rogers). Haven't been able to log into BIS since early this afternoon.

Talked to customer service and they said there's an outage right now. Guess I just have to wait and see.

Maybe all of this is a RIM outage?

EDIT: See data outages section.

how can it be, if i can access BIS?
if the OP is in the UK, then they should be able to access it, if the information is correct and they are on the right carrier page.

if they are not, and i dont know how many countries have vodafone as a network, then they must be having BIS problems.

Yeah, see the outages section. RIM is having "issues" globally.

No, if I can log on to t-mob in the UK, then you *should* be fine.
It appears only america is having the problem.

you are definately sure you are on this page:

ive read it, all posters are in the US.
Whether the people talking to their carriers/RIM are hearing "global problems", everyone posted is in the US, with a KNOWN outage in TX

Very true. I don't think we really have definitive details yet.

As the phones are BT via Vodaphone I have to use the BT.Blackberry log in page.

It wont allow me to post the link

Have tried both just to make sure but I have 3 other BB's and use the above link always

PS: I registered and set up another BB bold just a couple of hours ago, it is just this one I am ripping my hair out over....

it is just possible that vodafone uk are having problems.
the snow here has been insane, nothing to say they didnt have an outage of their own.

but i wouldnt say its a RIM global outage.

Ive never heard of a BT phone via vodafone....
10 posts and i think you can post links.

Did wonder about the snow - LOL - everything else has stopped working near Windsor !!!

Why should my BB be any different.

I think I will call BT tomorrow and see what they have to say.

So time consuming all of this.......

Thanks to all and lets hope UK starts operating again tomorrow.. a bus even would be a start
