Default reseting the storm

Please Login to Remove!

I have a storm with verizon that I plan on giving to someone so I want to wipe it clean of my info/files.

1. What is the best way to do this without connecting it my PC. I was thinking of activating the password and entering the wrong password several times. Will this method wipe the phone clean as if it is a completely new phone?

2. at this point, the phone (SIM card) is unlocked. If I reset the phone and wipe it clean, will I need to unlock the phone again or does it stay unlocked?

1. You don't need to set a password to wipe the device.
Options > Security Options > General Settings > Activate Menu > WIPE HANDHELD

2. No, it will stay unlocked.

Yes, it's on all BlackBerry devices.

I believe it should be in the same location on 4.7. If you're running 5.0, try looking in Options > Password.

If you are replying to me the Options>Password only allows me to set password etc

I tried to follow Jadey steps but there is not WIPE option that I am seeing.

Once you're in the appropriate section you have to press the Menu Key. She mentions that by saying "Activate Menu".
