Default Green LED light

Please Login to Remove!

I have searched but can't find the answer to this question. The LED light on the tip right of my 8830 has just tonight decided to stay lit in a bright green. It ahs never been green before. Its been red when I am receiving messages, but never green and staying lit.

Can someone tell me what this is?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm still pretty new to the device.

Wirelessly posted (life goes on! yes it is tough)

Generally green is used to indicate you have service

Go to options>screen/keyboard>led coverage indicator=off

If you don't want it on

doesn't solid green light mean battery charged? if the phone is turned off it will do this, if it does not stop, try a battery pull...

It was off. When I selected on it now blinks instead of being solid. It's just odd because before yesterday the only color it ever showed was blinking red when I was receiving data. Now it's blinking green all the time.

Just wish I knew what changed.

Hmm, how odd. Battery pull>back to options>select off for LED coverage and now it's off.

The one thing that remains a constant that we all can depend on is the possibility of a battery pull fixing the problem.

This should be the very first thing everyone should try if your devices does anything out of the ordinary.

Enjoy your device!

If I plug in the charger for overnight charging (my unit is set of automatically turn off at 11pm and on at 7am), I get the solid green when I awake in the morning (6am) and the unit is still officially off. So I suspect that solid green means fully charged and suspect it is normal (but I don't officially know that)

seems that might be the case. it was off from using the auto on/off feature, and fully charged but still connected. thanks for the feedback.

Default I also have solid green LED

LED remains solid green now, regardless of battery charge or battery pull.
Flashes red briefly to acknowledge messages. Coverage indicator is OFF.

This will sound dumber, I don't recall ever seeing the Green light
Only Red when I have a message.

And about a week ago it was stuck on RED
