I've been getting those red Xs today as well... if I try to resend a few times... it usually works... not sure what the issue is.

Broken for me for a few days now. An increasing (random selection) of mails arrive at my GMail (actually Google Apps email) accounts, and never arrive on my BB.
In the last 12hrs I must be missing 20%+ of my email on my BB
I am using default/POP based BIS setup to Gmail. Anyone seeing problems after they set up for IMAP instead?

Is anyone still having trouble?
I have been having problems for the last few days with my GoDaddy BIS mail. All of the sudden, I started getting about 50% of the mail delivered to my BB. The rest just doesn't get delivered.
Seems like the problem described in this thread, but I am still having the problem (as of 4am this morning).
Does anyone have more info on this problem? Does RIM say it's resolved and should I look elsewhere, or is still an "active" issue?

My problem turned out to be a corrupt message database. After removing all the messages (I decided to wipe the BB, and not restore the message database), all suddenly became fine. I had 7,600+ messages that I had migrated over several BB's and BB models. They only seemed to fill < 7MB of space, but I guess the BB lost the plot at some some point. Odd that mail didn't fail outright - it just got worse and worse over a couple of weeks.

There is no current RIM outage issue. TMo in your local area, or even a local tower could have an issue. But that still doesn't explain half your mail being delivered. Which half is it... old stuff and not new, or what?

By "50% of my mail being delivered", I didn't mean old or new. It appears that approximately every other message is being delivered.
Actually if I look at today's mail (approx 16 msgs) it in fact delivered every other one (msg #1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc.). I checked to make sure it is not a pattern, and it is most certainly not.. messages came in spurts of 2 at a time last night and again this afternoon. But most of the time I get about 1 of 2 messages sent to my BB.
Will try a battery pull now.. not sure what else to do!

I could be way off here but I'll just post my opinion anyway...
It seems to me that with the addition of 2 million subscribers every quarter we are going to slowly loose some of our "instantaneous" email. Honestly, I know very little about the inner workings of the RIM NOC but I do know that with numbers like this RIM and the carriers must be scrambling to keep up with demand. We are only using more and more data/bandwidth with every addition of a feature...emailing pictures, mapping, etc. I think we're certain to see slow-downs more often.

Weird!
OK I tried a battery pull last night, and resent service books. Checked my mail this morning and I have now confirmed that....
Every OTHER email is being delivered to my BB.
Any idea why? I got 6 emails last night (overnight while sleeping) and checked my BB this morning and saw msg #1, 3, and 5.
When I checked my godaddy mail this AM, I saw msgs 2, 4, and 6 and they were unread. 1, 3, and 5 were marked read (because I read them on my BB). 2, 4, and 6 were NEVER sent to the BB.
Any thoughts?? This is getting really frustrating!

Do you have any filters set on your BIS account?
How is your BIS account for the GoDaddy setup... you simply enter the and password?

Never had any filters. It seems to be literally filtering out "random" emails (seems to be every 2nd one, at least last night).
Just got 2 emails from someone, and only 1 was delivered to my BB.
I did the "full" setup for BIS (enter wrong password, select "enter settings manually", etc.) because that was the only way I could set up IMAP.
If I just put in username and password, I got POP3. That seems contrary to what others have reported here.. I've heard people say they enter username/password and get IMAP but that doesn't work for me.
Should I try deleting/recreating the BIS account? Not sure why this started happening all of the sudden late last week (ie. around the time RIM announced this outage).
