I just got my new 7100g, love it.. Called cingular yesterday and found out they had a huge problem across the Western US yesterday. I kept getting a message that my data network was not 'authorized'. then yesteday everything went back to normal.
Last night, I show that the Cingular network is on, and I am getting emails, but I can not send any, and the window shows "message services not configured"...
anybody having this problem or how to fix it??

I have not had this problem here in Nebraska.
First solution that I would try is removing and returning the battery.
Then, re-send the mail service book.

Did you ever solve this issue? I have a 7100g user that is getting the "message services not configured" error and would appreciate any help you could offer...

I am having the same issue - cannot recieve or send messages, and when I try to send I get that "message not configured" error - this is a new device sent by warranty exchange, everything else is working so I think I am almost there...... please help if you can. Thanks

Just get the service book re sent to your handheld.

ok goto settings, then options, then look for host routing tables then open that , goto the name of the service your usnig thats in BOLD and click the wheel in and goto regester now, it takes sumtimes 10 secs and somother times like 10mins hope this helped..

late to the game, but i am having the same problem and have baffled my customer service reps. i have tried sending the service book and that didn't fix my problem. then i went the host routing table route, and again, no luck. still getting "no message services configured." i am recieving emails with no problem, just this nasty sending issue.

anyone else have any suggestions?
