Question Receiving Emails...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys..

Just getting to grips with this Bold so another (stupid) question.

I have my bold set up with my work email.
When im in the office (where my email i set up), I only get a minority of my emails but when i'm out the office (nowhere near the network) i receive them, no problem.

This may sound silly but could the Bold recognise that im next to the network that my emails are set up from subsequently not senidng me through all the mails?

Thanks chaps.

How do you have your emails being routed to your blackberry? If you are using some sort of forwarding, maybe you are checking your messages before they are forwarding them causing them to not be sent to your blackberry. Just a thought.

But to answer your question, No I do not believe your blackberry is capable of knowing you're at work and stop those emails from ariving.

Thanks mate...
My carrier set the forwarding service for me so not 100% sure mate.

What kind of delay would we be talking for my work emails to be forwarded to my Blackberry?

it also maybe that if you are in the office and logged into your email they are going into your outlook (or whatever) and being pulled off the server (without leaving a copy)... that way there is nothing there for your blackberry service to check.. just a guess...

If you are using Wifi in the office to connect to the Blackberry network it is possible that the outbound firewall rules prevent the connection?
