I've read that certain mapping apps can show what cell tower you're connected to. I've looked through the menus on Google maps and the blackberry map app and can't find such an option. Does it exist and how do i do it?

im not certain about blackberry maps, but in google maps it uses cell tower triangulation automatically until it can find a gps signal.

Try SignalLoc:
F5 BlackBerry Utilities

It displays the location of the currently connected cell, however, Location data is gathered from google (carriers do not pubish their cell tower locations, exept CMDA, so data is not accurate all times)
