Suretype's much faster with bigger keys for all the sausage fingers out there. I say this while owning an 8700g, the other options overcome the keyboard.
QWERTY gives you more control. I would much rather have a QWERTY keyboard than SureType. However, this may all change with the 8100. I have had a 7105 and am currently using an 8700g.
SureType. The phones are sleeker, and I hear that the calls are clearer. But as far as typing goes, SureType is really nice when you get used to it. You can re-program your SureType list if you have words that it commonly gets mixed up.
QWERTY for me.I briefly went to a 7105-and I hated it,I got to the point where I essentially wasn't responding to emails because it was too cumbersome for me.Everyone has different opinions of course, but they say its hard to teach an old dog new tricks-I simply prefer the QWERTY layout. Its possible the new BB coming out may change my mind, but unlikely-can't have my secondary data device with a camera, would never get past security at the courthouse.
Suretype. Yes, you have to train it sometimes, but not carrying around a waffle is great. Carrying around a Blackberry without everyone knowing you are carrying around a Blackberry is even better. Sworn Verizon 7130e user, until the Verizon 8100 comes out.

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?
Suretype: But only because of the fact that it allows the Berry to be smaller. If size wasn't a factor, and it is, I would prefer qwerty as well. The good of the size savings outweighs the bad of the occasional extra step to get the suretype to do what you want.
Suretype for me, also because of size. Relatively new Blackberry owner here, but I've used countless PDAs in the past - including the Zaurus, which had a full qwerty keyboard. I ditched the Zaurus due to size. Absolutely no interested in a qwerty keyboard. Suretype is the best alternative. I want cell phone + pda. Blackberry fits my needs. I don't want to hold a book up to my head while I'm talking.
