Default Back to 114?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to downgrade the OS back to the 114 version after upgrading to 231? If so, please could someone provide me a link to download the 114 version. And what exactly do I need to do on my PC and DM to get it to load 114 in place of 231? Thanks

You basically reverse the process.

Uninstall 231 on your PC.
Install 114 on your PC.
Remove VENDOR.XML

Run loader.exe from c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Why not UPGRADE to .250?

It's not that I'm averse to progress (!), it's just that the upgrade to 231 really messed up my UMA connectivity and I'd like to go back to the stability I enjoyed with 114. So thanks for the instructions on installing, please could you also provide a link to download 114. (TMO claims it's impossible to downgrade and refuses to provide a link to the old software.)

1) Try .250. UMA works great for me.

2) Look in the Sticky Thread for the 8900 OS. There is a link on the thread to the prior version. And so on.

Thanks but the Sticky Thread sends me back to this post:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

and the download link is to an inactive TMO site. Is there a download link anywhere outside of TMO or am I following the wrong sticky?

With such solid endorsements, maybe I will give 250 a try after all. And I now have the 114 link to fall back on. Thanks.
