Hi,
Since yesterday on home screen 79 is been displayed on the left side of the home screen, just next to the audio settings sign. when you dial a number it comes down and also has a small icon next to it. Later i checked with few of my friends they are also facing the same problem.
Please help me to remove it as i and my friends have tried all the possible options.

If multiple people are seeing the same thing it's likely a carrier issue. Are they all on Vodafone?
