I've had my boyfriend as a bbm contact for years.. But recently when he replies to my bbm, it comes back to me as a Pin message... This is driving me insane...

Does anyone know why this is happening? Nothing was changed on his phone and he replies as usual... I'm baffled... Can anyone help?

Have either of you changed devices recently? You may try deleting and re-adding each other in BBM.

Good morning dc/dc... I have changed phones but it started happening before that.. And when I got the new phone, I deleted him and re-added.. And grrrrr still the same dealio...

Anything else it may be?

Are you sure you are looking at a PIN message? BBM can be set to show messages in the messages folder. Is that it?

Ya.. It's coming in red... I know that means its a PIN message...

Now I've been noticing that there is a lag in the replies coming back to me

Wierd. I don't get it.

For sure BF is not sending you a pin? He is using BBM to respond?

I'm stumped.

EDIT: Do you have other BBM contacts? And do reponses from those contacts come normally, and only the BF's responses come as PIN messages?

Its just his... And he just replies to my bbm through bbm.... It's got me totally baffled...

I know it's something... I just don't know what... For 1 response yesterday it came in correctly... But grrrr... Now it back...

Ok....this is a stab in the dark and I have no reason why it should make a difference, but just to try something and see what happens....

If your BF has you in his address book on the device with your PIN entered in it, ask him to delete it, or at least delete the PIN and save the change.

Then send BF a test BBM and have him respond. See what happens.

As I say, I don't expect it to make a difference. But who knows. If it does we'll learn something.
