Default .IPD test file

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm trying to write a program which will parse data from an IPD file.

Would anyone have any .IPD files which I could use to test it? Or could anyone share a backup of theirs with me? Preferably one with all the databases on it.

Thanks Everyone!

hmmm.... not sharing mine, especially with someone I don't even know.

You don't have a device you can create your own IPD backup file with?

No I haven't unfortunately, seems its difficult to find which might be why parsers are so rare.

I was wondering if there was any files out there with test data in, not necessarily personal data in it.

However if anyones willing to share their backup I'm not interested in personal data one may contain, it is strictly for development purposes.

Will this program offer anything more than ABC Amber Converter currently does?

Adam, finding someone willing to share their .ipd file with a stranger is likely going to be difficult. But you could buy a cheap blackbery and create as many as you need to test with. Seems you would need a wide variation of files to develop such an app anyway.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, and it will be free and have more functions. Much more practical for BB users too.

I agree it is unlikely someone will share one, just after a full .IPD file containing a few of each SMS/Calls/Emails/MMS/Calendar/Contacts to test against. However it needs all the databases in it, not just those 6.

Trying to avoid the expense of buying a blackberry and the cost of a SIM and doing SMS/Calls/Emails/MMS.
