Default BB8520 Disappointment!!

Please Login to Remove!

Why are all the upgrades taking place from OS6+... Then what was the point of buying a 8520, when the phones with OS6 got all the greatest stuff being released with it?! Will the 8520 ever be able to handle the OS6+? Its like the 8520 is a std phone and not a smartphone at all!!

Entry level BlackBerry. Doesn't have the memory to handle OS6 and never will.

I know its an entry level phone, but I don't reeli care about the OS. I'm satisfied with that, its the apps that bugs me out!! Why can't they create apps for all models and not just for the models running OS6+. If I knew it worked liked that I wouldve gotten me an OS6 phone. When I got the bb I never really knew a lot about the phone, I was a nokia fanatic.

I think you should return the device, get a Series 40 Nokia, and learn to spell.

I understand what your saying, you were looking for something with more horse power inside it. Well the 8520 isn't the route to go. It's a entery level phone as it has been said before. Will the 8520 ever run OS6+.... No that is because the 8520 does not have the memory to run it. No you can't just stick in a mirco SD card and say it has plenty of memory. Also the CPU is not even close to power full enough to had such a more demanding OS. OS 5 compared to OS 6, OS 6 is more demanding the OS6.

The OP bought what he bought, and now has to either live with it or upgrade. Simple as that. Not many Android apps being developed for Android 2.0 or 2.1 anymore either.
