I got my BBP and its bad ass..now..i didnt get the Data package..but I'm thinking of getting it (should I?) well anyhow..i want to download new themes and games...i would think that i would have to log into the mobile.blackberry.com site..but i cant because i dont have the BB browser..its no where to be found in my Pearl :( what should I do!? :(
without the Data Plan (at least on TMobile) the Browser, as well as other things won't appear until you sign up for it...I did the same thing, but signed up for the Data Plan later that day, Browser appeared....Data Plan is REALLY worth it IMO, don't see much use for the Blackberry without it!
Yea...i Came To Conclusion Right Now That Whats The Blackberry With No Data Plan!? So I Am Going To Get It Then. But My Bill Comes On The 2nd Of Everymonth..well Thats The Due Date...my First Bill Will Be On Dec. 2nd ...now If I Get The Data Plan Right Now..will I Be Charged $20 For This Month (even Though I Would Only Have A Week And A Half With The Data Plan If I Get It Today)?
I am not sure, maybe they pro-rate (sp) those charges, you might want to call them and ask
I know you can also have them add it, and it'll start on your next billing cycle, that I know for sure, because one of the their reps. told me I could do that when adding or changing my account
Yeah data is more than worth it. Btwa the reson your web browsere dose not show up is becaus you have no dataplan an servis books once you get the service books your browser icon should dhow up. The window is 2-24hours for the changees to take effect.
I just called and they will only charge me for the time remaining (pro-rate (sp) I would think) ...well yea, i'm going to get the bb unlimited..i guess it will be worth it...THANX EVERYONE!!! is there anything else I should think about getting?
if you are going to use the OZ Instant Messaging program, careful, those use SMS text messages...your Unlimited Data Plan won't cover it...just word of caution before you get a crappy surprise on your next bill
I see, well what if I get Yahoo Messenger into it? will the unlimited BB cover it? I have 1000 txt messages too, so i really dont think i'm going to run out..but just in case....anyhow..i just got the service..but its going to take a max of 2 days to get everything working perfect..now with this service..what can i do other than browse the web? can i now set up a BB e-mail? will they charge me? You can go to the BB home page (in the Browser) and download Yahoo Messenger from there, that one will use Data not SMS, so it's covered in your Data Plan. Yes, you can setup your e-mail, that's included in the Data Plan as well. Other than that, I recommend you READ alot in the forum, I've learned alot.
I would recommend Google Maps, I use at at least a few times a day...I use it for maps, phone numbers to businesses, traffic reports, and such.
