I think successfully is subjective.

My e-mail works fine, but I have no browser support whatsoever. Others on here do have browser support in some way, shape or form (using BIS).

All of the regular applications that invoke the TCP stack (like JiveTalk, Google Maps, Pocket Express) work fine for me.

i can wait for browser support! All I'm concerned with is text and email at the moment, so if everyones 8300 is working in that respect, then I will be satisfied

Tranman329 - Do you have a browser? Are you using BIS or BES?

My unlocked AT&T Curve works fine with T-Mobile, aside from the fact that the web browser disappeared shortly after I unlocked the phone.

I thought I remember reading something about t-mobiles browser... Does it still use a crippled wap browser. I heard nextels(I think) was a bad as well.

Could this be causing the issue t-mobile users are experiencing?

No. There are actually 2 browser configurations used. The first is BIBS (BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service) and the second is for T-Zones, which is WAP.

I can't get either to work. There are others on the forum, however, who can get the T-Zones WAP one to work. It's not WAP-crippled, it's just a default carrier configuration. It'll let you go elsewhere.

My browser disappeared shortly after unlcoking mine as well. I went the whole day without it. Then I reinstalled my phone with the O2 software and pushed all the books and it worked. I am now successfully using the 8300 on T-Mobile.

O2 Curve successfully working completely normally with Tmo. Push service biiks from web site not from phone. works like a champ. Also removed video and brickbreaker and foreign language support and I have over 30 mb free. No delays. very fast. Pocket day and beyond 411 perfect. No issues with hard or software. I played with an ATT and the keyboard was not where near as solid as my O2. Also my O2 was much faster.

Default Works great

I purchased my 8300 on June 1, had it ulocked that night and it all works great. I do have to use T-Zones to get on the web, but email etc...works awesome.

Funny thing is that the ATT guy i bought the phone from tried to use scare tactics and said, "your email will not work on tmobile...we have special settings on this 8300 to prevent that."

I got my curve Friday 6/1 from a Cingular store in Irvine, CA. Adam from GSM Phonesource gave me the unlock code by 11:30 PM and I synced it with my BES by 12:30 AM.

Everything works and the icons were similar to the ones I have on my T-mobile Pearl. The only thing that seems to be missing is the bluetooth icon to turn bluetooth on and off. and the T-zones icon. The bluetooth setup icon is there. Exchange server emails seem to work fine and I have 5 other email accounts including Gmail and they all seem to work fine too. The browser works fine. Google map and google talk works, Yahoo messenger works.

I have had no problems what so ever with "1" key trying to get voicemails. All in all, my curve is working as well as expected given that t-mobile does not have the service books for it yet. I use the 8800 model to down load the sevice books. Camera has great pictures.

All in all I am quite pleased. The themes are limited at this point and would like the T-mobile zen but I am not changing the OS until I can get the ATT one back and I can live with the limited themes.

I have an unlocked 8300 on t-mobile; my t-zones icon is there and email works no problem. While I did have a browser AND t-zones icon before on my 8100 on the t-mo network, I have just been using the t-zones to launch access to the internet and then browse away from there.

There was another post on here where I listed my service books - it appears that some of the active Host Routing Tables are pushing the needed books and some are not. In this case, I'm on 31017030 and like I said above, I have the t-zones link.

I hate to speculate why some people are getting the required service books on their 8300s and others are not, but it is obviously occurring. Could it be that I am in an area where beta testing on the t-mobile network of the 8320 is going on? Just a wild shot in the dark...

*EDIT* I should add... *EDIT*
I don't have a dedicated icon for enabling/disabling bluetooth (as other's mentioned above) but I'm not sure that the 8300 is supposed to. I have an icon named "Manage Connections" that I launch to enable/disable my "Mobile Network" and "Bluetooth" as well view the Service Status and Set Up Bluetooth. In my opinion it is working as designed, everything has just been consolidated into one icon. If it matters, I'm using the AT&T theme.

Pretty much the same story here- everything is working fine except there is no browser. Only T-zones.
