Looks like there is a track wheel... Very interesting... Definitely worth taking a closer look at when it is released.

Well today in the GlobeandMail they made it seem like it will kill the blackberry with the Camera, SD slot, and MP3 player. Maybe motorola has been spying on us and decided to take our ideas of improvements and make the new product it is possible don't u think ?

I could get by ok without a camera, mp3 player and SD slot. The battery had better be like lithium nuclear to handle all that stuff. Could you imagine having your battery die during a conversation with work due to you wearing out the battery from playing the mp3 player. Imagine missing phone calls/ e-mails since you can't take it into many places due to security risks.

Thanks but I'll keep my iPod, camera and BlackBerry seperate.

I hope they come out with a cameraless model ala HP. I am surprised that RIM didn't try and get Moto to be a supplier and load their own OS on it since it has a track wheel and escape button. As a government employee that works in classified areas, I can tell you that you can't take any kind of cellphone into those spaces. The cameraphone is a no-no on the entire facility and there is debate on the phone having storage cards but the latter makes no sense for two reasons: 1) some phones will now have gigabytes of internal storage (music phones comes to mind) and 2) we are allowed to carry USB memory sticks and use them.

I too prefer phones without a camera. Although, I was driving home from work the other day and there was a woman in the car next to me using a tweezer to pull out chin hairs. That was the only time I ever wish I had a camera phone... to capture the disgust and show it to everyone I know so I would not be the only one trying desparately to erase this mental picture.

The camera is kinda fun, i see europe and Asia using it all the time. It's just a matter of time until we will see every phone with media capabilities. Hopefully RIM will release a new OS soon and add a couple of things in there. And make better use of the bluetooth. Which is a BIG maybe

No info about it having bbconnect, I guess that part isnt coming true :(

It looks nice, it looks like a highend consumer-small/med business product and I think it would do well in those markets.

Blackberry was first to market so that's been sustaining them for awhile. The pressure is building though and somone could pass by. Options are growing.

A wide flip device (because of the qwerty keyboard) would look a little odd, no?
